Eureka Coke Ovens

This image shows the stonework in the piers taken in February, 2007, 66 years after the aerial photo of the construction site.  This pier seems to be in very good shape and likely to stand a while longer.  

A quick calculation indicates that the 1400 foot length of wall at the ovens would have been more than adequate to produce (more than enough) stone to construct this set of piers 4 piers.
