Sloss No. 2 Red Ore Mine

This is one of the Red Mountain mines operated by the Sloss Sheffield Steel & Iron Company.  There is good information on this mine in the HAER data at the Library of Congress.  This survey was done in 1993 and provides information on the layout of the mine site, the material entrance to the mine, and the hoist house.
