Sloss No. 2 Red Ore Mine

This is one of the Red Mountain mines operated by the Sloss Sheffield Steel & Iron Company.  The Library of Congress has this HAER survey done in 1993 which provides information on the layout of the mine site, above, the material entrance to the mine, and the hoist house.
