      At
        the bottom of the large depression was the culvert entrance.  It is
        was nearly buried, and is built with a stone top spanning the opening --
        reinforced concrete was not in use at this time.  This stone
        construction is typical of many culverts built for railroads at this
        time.  Maybe the outlet end of this culvert would show more
